Seraya Energy’s Symposium Remains Popular With Customers

IMG_2150Seraya Energy recently held its eighth Forex and Oil Symposium in January. A familiar event popular with many of its customers for its comprehensive coverage and forecasts of the global foreign exchange and oil markets, it is one of many value-add initiatives which Seraya Energy seeks to provide each year.

The symposium started with an opening keynote by Mr Chan Swee Huat, CEO of YTL PowerSeraya. Among the line-up of external speakers this year included Mr. Christopher Tan from the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR); Mr. Benoit Guard from GDF Suez Trading and Ms. Leong Sook Mei from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Singapore. Customers were able to draw insights from them that covered the Sustainable Singapore Blueprint 2015, MEWR’s measures and plans to foster a sustainable community, forecast on oil prices and outlook on the Forex markets.

IMG_1587Mr. Lim Sam San, Senior Vice President of Seraya Energy, also provided updates on the utilities market in Singapore, electricity price trends and its challenges in 2015. Through the Q&A segment, the attendees also managed to gain a deeper understanding of the energy environment and its related industries.

The event rounded up on a light-hearted note with a fengshui talk and sumptuous buffet lunch.
