Seraya Energy’s Events End on a High Note
Attendees for the two recent Seraya Energy events – Seraya Energy Forex and Oil Symposium and iLight Marina Bay Networking Night - were recently in for an eventful treat.
On Seraya Energy’s Forex and Oil Symposium which was held in February 2012, customers were treated to a cable car scenic ride which brought them to The Jewel Box at Mount Faber. The symposium brought together speakers that included Mr Yong Siew Hwa (Building and Construction Authority), Mr Marcus Ho (Goldman Sachs) and Ms Leong Sook Mei (Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Singapore) who provided customers with insights on various topics such as greening Singapore, as well as the outlook on oil prices and the world economy.
The following month in March 2012, invitees of the iLight Marina Bay Networking Night at the Marina Bay Floating Platform, relaxed at the Grand Stand VIP Lounge that is used exclusively for ministers during the National Day Parade. This was held in conjunction with the 2012 iLight Marina Bay festival, of which Seraya Energy’s parent company YTL PowerSeraya was the sustainability sponsor of the festival. At the session, a focus group was held where some customers shared their experiences on energy efficiency improvement projects as well as their future corporate sustainability plans.
Mr Lim Sam San, Vice President of Seraya Energy, also gave an update on the recent developments in the electricity market, the impact on energy prices and the upcoming projects in the industry.
At the end of it all, customers at both events not only enjoyed a sumptuous buffet spread set against the spectacular backdrop of the scenic locations, they also walked away armed with further insights into oil, energy and sustainability issues.
